peoplePROJECTS

Below is a list of objectives and targets for the next 12 months. We plan to meet these through many different projects in Clase and Caemawr. If you feel strongly about anything below and would like to get more involved then please contact us, for more information on voluntering click here.

Communication
- Development of newsletter, noticeboard and website materials and processes.
- 3 Community events per year.
- Forums and action groups with decisions reported to all community members and partners.
- Support of ICT facility at Clase and District Community Centre, Caemawr Pod, The View community house and other venues.
Environment
- Support the Lead Field Cyd Coed project.
- Working to develop signs and walking routes in Morriston Park.
- Support community action in developing adventure play areas.
- Investigating the potential to convert Caemawr car parks and a suitible area in Clase into recycling banks.
Education, jobs and business
- Re-establish consistent network meetings with further education providers.
- Continuation of digital fun initiatives.
- Development of website, digital stories and other media skills.
- Develop social enterprise options.
- Secure funding to develop and continue the digital inclusion project.
Community safety
- Youth and community workers engaging with local young people to develop and install community/youth designed fencing at Lon Hafren, Caemawr.
- Refurbishment of Caemawr Pod and surrounding area.
- Caemawr road traffic calming.
Active community
- Further development of personal development and volunteering research and monitoring systems.
- Networking with other communities.
- New Youth digital projects

Health & wellbeing
- Opening of Family Centre on Beaconsview Rd September 2007.
- Health & Wellbeing research project.
